Hello Shividiboo,

No, Fireworks won't directly open those PDF's. But here's a workaround which might help:

Use Illustrator to open the PDF. Save each page as its own ILLUSTRATOR 8 file. (Not Illustrator 9). Then use FW to open the Illustrator files.

Not unless you get an illegal version no. Illustrator 10 full version
costs $399 USD, update is $149 (prices from Adobe's site). You can find
better prices if you shop around and may be able to get a legal licence
of an earlier version on eBay or something.

If you work with PDFs a lot, Illustrator would be a good investment.

Shividiboo;
You might use acrobat to convert the pdf to eps which can be opened in
fireworks. Although pdf is most compatable with ai, freehand or draw can be
used to open the pdf as well. Tom Unger

Thank you very much for your answers.
It's a bit too much of me to pay that amount so I guess I have to wait until it gets cheaper!

To all:

Macromedia FreeHand will also open the PDF so you can edit it, and then
save the FreeHand 10 file and open it in Fireworks MX. That way we can keep
it all in the family. FreeHand 10 will open, edit and export to PDF, with a
few known issues. Go to:

<http://www.macromedia.com/software/freehand/>

To read about it and download a free 30-day trial.
