It means creating bigger images first and then reducing the Image Size to whatever suits you. Hope this helps.

Thanks for reply, but what do u mean by first making a larger image and then
reducing its size?do u mean numerical transformation or what?[/q]
Arun is right. For example, if you intend for your image to be 100x50 pixels,
start with one that is 200x100 pixels or 400x200 pixels. Make everything the
look the way you want it to, just bigger. Then, export that image as a
flattened .png (PNG 24). Open that file, resize it to the proper size (or
scale, either one), and output to your final desired format.

what jpegs settings are you using in export?
have you tried the 'better quality' preset that uses 'sharpen edges' ??

Thanks for your reply...Hmm now i got it and will give it a try, but tell me
which one is better,Png 24 or PNG 32?
One more thing which i have already tried but to no avail. How do we create
blue banner graphics, having checker boards, globes etc ,usually found on many
websites as banners.I have seen tutorials in photoshop for such banners but no
real tutorial in Adobe Fireworks.I try to make them but my effort is always in
vain. This time round i will try that PNG24 Trick you have told me.I have even
used jpeg of 100 quality but still very not good feeling.

Ah. The PNG 32 has transparency, but the PNG 24 does not. If you need
transparency, use that one. (Note that browser support for transparent .png
files is not great.) Since the images on your site don't need transparency, I
glossed over that. Sorry! :smile;

There's a good
http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/images/p_montage/index.htm you might find
helpful for learning techniques you could apply to making banners. For more,
