How can I make a sprite in the score clip to another sprite so that even when I move the clipped sprite, it retains the Alpha of the sprite it clips to.
Much like in Photoshop's clipping to the layer underneath it. I know I have to use variables and such for this but please be elaborate and descriptive, as I can get easily confused. Also, I can't understand JavaScript, so please don't answer with JavaScript.

the easiest is to create a cutout in photoshop and save in PNG, import into director, put it on stage, lock its position and it will serve as a mask.
