Try copying
dirapi.dll
lml32.dll
msvcrt.dll
into your executable directory
Already there. I have a school version of dir 8, seems to be running fine
when resaving the dirfiles as v8 files, and creating a projector from there.
But it still is not what I want.
Sorry to say I've tried this as well. It does not fix the problem.
Thanks anyway.
Check the link:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/director/ts/documents/windll_files_require
d.htm
it contains an executable file that fix the problem.
Good luck.

Maybe try diffrent way...
Create a Projector as Shockwave player
make directory "Xtras" in ur projector dir and put all necessary xtras there
then put
dirapi.dll
lml32.dll
msvcrt.dll
proj.dll <<< this one only under D8
into projector directory
if u still get some "no shockwave" error then maybe u r missing some
importnant xtra or something.
To findout just try copying xtras from "Xtras" directory from Director dir
into "xtras"
directory in ur projector dir.
mhmm, much dirs in here i guess :)
