Hello
Does somebody know how to use the JPEG EXPORT XTRA in directror. The
Xtralist provides this xtra amongs a lot of others. But it's seems
impossible to reach the "interface()" fonction. How to use this fonction
with the others xtras which are not in the showxlib fonction.

There is a behavior at www.mediamacros.com/search.shtml that uses this to
export jpeg files.

Greetings Gretchen,

I noticed the "reminder" that D7 won't capture the stage to a member on
Windows in 24 bit display. I've been doing that successfully for a while (on
my Win95 machine).

Is this something that changed in D7.02 or should I be concerned if I decide
to use it in a distributed project?

In D7 it threw an error message. I just retested under 702 on Win98 and it
did not error but it made a completely black capture image. At 8 bit it
was fine. I changed the disclaimer to "may not work at 24 bit" since it's
working for you. Failure could be video card or memory related.

Thanks for the info. I think if I ever need that function for the end user,
I'll play it safe with an Xtra.

Yeah, it's good for some limited situations, but others have reported
memory probs after several captures. Since it's not officially supported
there isn't any recourse if you run in to probs.

I believe there is an example on the updateStage site. If you want a
clear cut way that is supported and comes with exampled please examine
my RavImageExport Xtra which will allow you to export to JPG, PNG, BMP,
TGA, TIFF, and change bit depths and scale on export. A demo is
availible at http://www.ravware.com/xtras.htm
