the default amount of displayed mat's in the mat-ed is 15, by the way. you
can expand this in the mat-ed option dialog to 12 (3x2) or 24 (6x4).
BUT the numbers of materials you can use in max is NOT limited to this
number. everytime you give a material name a different name, or you create
or you load a new material, you ADD another material in your scene.
you should take a closer look to the max-documentation refering materials
and textures, 'cause it's the basic knowhow you need - espacialy for
realtime-3d-stuff!
