windows authentication issue

The server detials are...
OS : windows 2008
SERVER : IIS+PHP+MYSQL
Authentication type : Windows authentication(for sso)
The application is for intranet of an organization. The application works fine with out prompting for credentials in IE when i add url as intranet sites but it prompts for credentials in chrome and never proceeds. Even same problem in firefox even if i add url in about:config for network.negotiation.
