I fixed most of my problems when renaming files. I now have a new problem.
When I edit a page I can?t publish it. I get the message "access denied". Read
the Tech notes and no further progress on this issue since it was identified
April 2004 .This seems to be something macromedia has not followed up. They
say it is a known error and to watch this space as they are working on it!!!

When I try and create a new page and publish I cannot as file name is in use.
There isn?t a file in my directory with the name I want to publish, so can?t
see why I can?t republish.

Someone mentioned files are buried deep. Fortunately I can actually see mine
on my hosting service. This is a different view than my file directory. Both
files I have a problem with do not appear to be active and both have
LCK after them. For some reason these groups of files have htm rather than
html as in my other folders.
Checked my admin settings and they seem to be ok. However I may have altered
things that shouldn?t have been.
Can someone please assist. This has just started to happen and I don?t know
what I have done as all working ok before.

I cannot use the solution shown on the tech notes. It states "you will need
to connect to the server using another FTP client in order to see these note
files" but I can see them through my web hosting. There isn't one with my two
file names.
Please can a Team Member help since this is a known problem and nothing has
done and tech notes not updated. Have already put in the only patch and no
difference.
Extra info. Contribute 2 - Tech Notes ?access denied?. I do not have a site
based on dreamweaver.

I resolved this through tech notes Contribute Changes File Permissios. I had
to disable rollbacks. Putting the index.htm file into my edit group was not
enough until I disabled rollbacks. If anyone is interested.
