Hello All, We have been having problems with the CF install on linux 3
enterprise for sometime now. It worked fine for few months, and then we started
to get JVM Hotspot errors, so we tried upgrading the JVM, but it did not work
for us, then we introduced the -Xint JVM flag to sort this issue out. -Xint
does keep the server up and running, but its performance is not good, so we
decided to take it off, but on taking the -Xint flag off, the server goes down
quite frequently, almost 3 times a day, but we do not get any JVM Hotspot
errors in the event log. If we put the -Xint switch back it works again. Is
there a way to sort this issue out ? We do not want to put the -Xint flag for
JVM to reduce the servers performance, and moreover it is not throwing any
Hotspot events in the event log in the first place. Any pointers or
suggestions will be most appreciated.

I must state that we have been trying to get this sorted for a long time, and
this issue follows from the previous post listed here

Have you upgraded the JVM ?

I am running ES 3.0 also with CF and with the 6.1 updater 1 and the lateest 1.4.X sun JRE it seems to stay up better but it will die about once a week.

Thanks for your reply, Yes we tried that with the latest SUN JVM, 1.4.2_6 and
also 1.5 but had the same issue, initially it seemed to work then it ended up
doing the same crash no of times a day. Have you tried to use IBM JVM, I am
told that it works better, but I have not been able to get the correct startup
JVM parameters for IBM JVM, hence have not tested with IBM JVM.

I have been told that Blue Dragon server works much better on Linux to service CFML pages, any opinion or suggestions regarding this?

I have not tried Blue Dragon it installs easy but the XML support was really shaky when I tested it.
