hello macromedia community.
we trying to set up a debian webserver with coldfusion mx 6.1 (yes, macromedia
supports officialy only suse ;-( ). we use the linux version with the JRE (not
the J2EE version). on the macromediapage, we've found the .conf to set up the
paths for apache2, but the install stops with some probs with the JRE. does
anybody use CFMX, can u give me some hints to set it up? Thanx for your
feedbacks....greetz debipail

I'v found that with tweaking the installer and the connectors enough you can
configure CFMX to run on just about any platform (OpenBSD was my stangeest)
however once you get it installed it may work nicely or at all for that matter.

I attempted to get it running on Debian at one point and scrapped the effort
to go wtih CentOS instead.

But just because I couldnt make it work doesnt meen it cant be done. :)

Do you have a firewall on your server? For the installer to work properly you
have to allow localhost to connect... like iptables -A INPUT -s localhost -j
ACCEPT. I can?t see any possible cause besides that. I?m running Debian +
Apache + CF on all my servers.
