We are running CF8.01 on a Windows 2003 server. We have developers who work
remote on days that use VPN to connect to the University network. When they do
that they obtain an ip address on the VPN subnet dynamically. The
administrators are constantly getting requests to add the ip numbers to the CF
Administrator so they can see the debug information. Is there anyway we could
add the VPN subnet to these settings, as a group, so we are not having to
continually add ip addresses to the administrator. Before you say just add
each ip number of the subnet separately know that we have 13 instances and each
developer has their own instance. That would mean adding each number 13 times
as we wouldn't know which ip number from the VPN subnet they would be getting.
We would like to be able to add the subnet with one entry, if it is possible.

Just had a thought. But I know little about networks.

Couldn't your network people place some technology in between whereby the many
in-bound IPs are represented by a single outbound IP at the other end? You
could then register the out-bound IPs in each instance's administrator.

Cool, Jalehman. What a creative way to avoid the tedium of manually filling forms.
