Preview problem: localhost:8500

Hi all,
Wonder if someone can help, have searched everywhere and cannot find an answer. When I preview a cfm page, it will open on port localhost:8500, i.e., http://localhost:8500/NewSite/index.cfm but when I click on a url/link to open a second cfm page, it tries to open on localhost only, i.e, http://localhost/NewSite/result.cfm
Anyone know how to fix this please?
