Hello group,
Happy Friday! I was told by an audiologist that medicare won't cover hearing aids and medicaid might but most hearing aid dealers won't take it. Have any of you helped a senior get hearing aids and have any direction as to financial assistance in this process? They are being quoted at $3000 and up, so any tips would be helpful. Thank you all!

Good morning,

Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) may assist with hearing aid costs; however, the circumstances must be tied to one's employment where their hearing loss is creating a barrier to their employment.  Our Agency is specific to assist individuals with disabilities attain or retain employment.  One may be a senior or not,  but must be employed where one’s hearing loss is creating a barrier to employment.

Thoughts?

Thank you.

My dad got amplifiers on FB for $100 and at least for him (and others whom he knows) they work the same as high end hearing aides. Just an idea. https://a.co/d/099HwnGu
