Greetings! 


Detroit Reconnect is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort of Reconnect Ambassadors.
Ambassadors serve as peer mentors, community connectors, and program champions. They commit to at least 2–3 hours per month for one year and receive a $595 stipend.
Example responsibilities will include:
  • Peer Mentorship
    • Provide one-on-one or small-group support to prospective and current adult learners.
  • Outreach & Engagement
    • Conduct outreach at their employer, CBO, or institution 
    • Participate in calling campaigns to check in on prospective or current students.
    • Support social media outreach by sharing content, creating short videos, or participating in ambassador spotlights.
  • Navigation Support
    • Help learners complete interest forms, FAFSA, or connect with Reconnect Navigators.
  • Program Representation
    • Attend monthly ambassador meetings (virtual or in-person).
    • Represent Detroit Reconnect at community events, employer fairs, or partner institution activities.
