- You'll provide either your individual income (earned within 90 days of applying) or your combined household income for the last 12 months, depending on your situation.
- The income limits are based on HUD's Median Family Income for your specific campus location.
- Earned Income: Wages, salaries, tips, and taxable employee pay.
- Other Proofs: Child support, Social Security, unemployment benefits.
- Savings, passive income, child support (as income, but can be used as proof), or inheritance funds are generally not included in the income calculation.

I have heard of Per Scholas (which has an low income requirement) - it is nationwide program and has an office in the New Centre area of Detroit on Grand River (I think) check this info out as well :
