As implementation planning continues for Medicaid changes resulting from House Resolution 1 of 2025, MDHHS is developing resources to help partners understand upcoming changes and prepare to support the people they serve.

Below are the latest updates and resources available to you.

Our Partner Toolkit includes resources to support your outreach efforts, including:

  • Work requirements slide deck
  • Social media graphics
  • Rack cards
  • Posters

As beneficiary letters, flyers and other communications are released, they will also be added to the toolkit so partners have access to the same materials being shared with the public.

HR1 & Medicaid Webinar Series

The HR1 & Medicaid Webinar Series is designed to help community partners understand and communicate Medicaid changes resulting from House Resolution 1 of 2025. The series will primarily focus on Healthy Michigan Plan work requirements and provide partners with the information and resources they need to help Michigan residents understand, prepare for and navigate these changes.

The recording of Session 1: Planning for Work Requirements is now available. This session provides an overview of the new federal provisions, how MDHHS is preparing for implementation, and the communication tools and resources currently available to support outreach efforts.

Beneficiary Communications Begin in July

Beginning in July, some Medicaid beneficiaries with Healthy Michigan Plan coverage will begin receiving letters, emails and text messages about upcoming Medicaid changes. These communications are intended to help members understand what changes may affect them and what actions, if any, they may need to take.

Copies of beneficiary communications will be posted to the Partner Toolkit as they are released.
