Hi Melissa, Great!

Here is a link of a training coming up in August.

If you haven't already, join the

Macomb Resources Group: macombr...@googlegroups.com

also

The Macomb Social Emotional Network is offering a training: "All Behavior has Meaning"  with Julie Ribaudo October 7, 20169-12pm  Registration: 586-226-3440 x269  or e...@mfsonline.org

The Social Emotional Network is also working on a Trauma training in August.  We are trying to secure a location at this time for 150 people.

I'll forward more information as I come aware of it.  Let me know as things change.  If you are interested in providing IMH services for Macomb County, please contact MCCMH contract Management and make them aware.  I'm not sure of their position with securing more IMH contracts at this time.

Hi Amy,

I hope all is well.

Unfortunately, we do not have anyone specialized in this age group either. However, we are definitely interested in developing therapists to meet this need. We are also interested in the IMH piece! Therefore, any resources or training opportunities that you are aware of would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Melissa

Subject: Early Childhood Mental Health Providers

Hello,

Access frequently receives requests for therapists that specialize in Early Childhood (ages 3-5).  The county has 2 Infant Mental Health Providers to provide services to the (Pregnant woman)0-3 population (refer through Access).  However, more services for ages 3-5 is needed.

Early Childhood mental health treatment requires specialized training in early child development along with evidenced based & developmentally appropriate practices.

If you have a therapist(s) at your clinic who is qualified and want referrals from Access, please let me know: (Thank you for your time)

  1. Name and credentials
  2. Very brief description of training/education/credentials that support their qualifications
  3. Insurances accepted including Medicaid QHPs
  4. Are they able to see MCCMH consumers?
  5. Are they in the FOCUS calendar?
  6. What ages do they see?

*If you do not have anyone at your clinic qualified but are interested in developing this, please let me know.  I'm happy to forward external training and resources that may help with this development.

Thanks Anne, You'll likely hear what I hear. Most I get are from MI-AIMH and the MSN.  Frankly, I've always considered NEGC as having providers who can do this work.  :-[

Amy, I have two clinicians who are interested in this idea.

Please keep us in mind for appropriate training opportunities.

We will consult as a team to determine what this looks like for us, and will alert you with details of qualifications once we have that established.

Thanks.
