What a tragic loss to  our community. Dan served so many, in so many ways, for so long.

Did anyone save the link to his blog? I went to reread his last message to us, but my link didn't get me there.

When I first read Dan's blog, I remember marveling at his special inner strength - being able to share so deeply with us at such a difficult time. I would like to reread this message.

Hi Denise, here is the email from Dan with instructions on how to link to his blog.

I am currently on a leave of absence from DHS due to a serious health condition. I recently learned I have Cholangiocarcinoma, bile duct cancer.  A link to my blog (chronology of events) is at the very bottom of the page at my website,  http://www.macombresources.info/about_us.  I will be taking it down in about two weeks, so if you want to revisit it in the future to see where I'm at, you can save the link (it is a simple Google Doc), or just email me. Indeed he IS sitting before the throne of God right now. Dan's rosary last night was beautiful as was his Mass this am. His wife and kids were surrounded by at least 200 people in attendance.

Dan was very special to all who knew him, and I for one, can say that he is the most Godly man that I have ever met on this earth! Praising God that I had the chance to know him this side of Heaven. Indeed we have an advocate IN heaven now as a great intercessor !!
