Subject: NOFA Released + CoC Rule Comments Due

Dear McKinney Campaign Advocates,

I wanted to send you a quick email letting you know about two updates regarding McKinney-Vento funding. As I’m sure many of you are aware, HUD released the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) last Friday, November 9. The NOFA establishes the funding criteria and timeline for the approximately $1.6 billion available for the Continuum of Care program.

The deadline for applying for CoC funding under the NOFA guideline is 8:00 pm ET on January 18, 2013. You can apply here: www.hud.gov/esnaps. If you have any questions about the NOFA or the application process, please let me know and I will do my best to answer them!

In addition, I wanted to remind everyone that the public commenting period for the interim Continuum of Care Rule closes this Friday, November 16 at 5:00 pm ET. To submit your comments, please use this link: http://www.regulations.gov/#!submitComment;D=HUD-2012-0089-0144 (I apologize for sending out an erroneous link in a previous email; hopefully this should work for everyone). You can view other individual and organizational comments by browsing this page. The Alliance will be releasing its finalized comments (view draft comments here) following submission to HUD on November 16.

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know!

Best,
Kate
