Hi Champions!

Does anyone know of any free/low cost tax services? I’m working with a young mom of 2 small children who recently relocated after losing her home and all her belongings. She’s also in need of a specific type of infant formula (waiting for her SNAP benefits to renew). Sounds like she needs a lot of resources so I may be posting here for more help as I learn more! She’s about a year into her substance use recovery and is trying to get back on her feet, but is struggling financially. She’s currently living in Inkster. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Scott, et al -    sorry for the tech glitch

Ah, the glory of technology and moving data between sources . . . . one site drops bold text

For the 2026 tax filing season (covering 2025 tax returns), the IRS Free File program is available to taxpayers with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $89,000 or less. This limit applies to all filing statuses, and many partners also offer free state tax returns.
