The Oakland Schools family engagement team invites leaders, educators and family liaisons to join a networking opportunity in the 26/27 school year: the Oakland County Family Engagement Collaborative. Please send this opportunity to others who lead or are involved with family engagement practices in their role.

Description: Strong family engagement is essential for creating inclusive, equitable, and thriving school communities. This collaborative aims to provide a platform for family liaisons, leaders, and educators to exchange experiences, challenges, and successes in building and maintaining authentic partnerships with families that lead to improved outcomes for students. By highlighting district-specific examples of purposeful and collaborative engagement, this series will empower participants to adopt and adapt these strategies for their own contexts. Participants will leave with fresh insights and practical approaches for strengthening partnerships, elevating the voices of diverse communities, and co-creating impactfulfamily plans in their districts.
