Planning changes for Sally Egler's Celebration of Life

Greetings again, MFN.

Lars Egler just found out The Penny can only accept catered food (no personal food) because of liability.  I will notify those who have offered appetizers/desserts earlier to confirm the cancellation of their offers.  Also, we won't be able to do any set up on the Thursday before the event.

Below is a revised copy of what I sent out with the times/dates for other participation.  It would be great if any of you are around at 7 p.m. (the end of the celebration) to help us clear the area.  The more that help, the faster it goes.

Greetings Macomb Feminist Network,

Save the date: The Celebration of Life for Sally Egler is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Penny, 24 West Side Square, Macomb.  

A number of  people have asked "what can we do," so this email opens that door.   Please don't feel you have to participate in the various opportunities to help the organizers, Lars Egler and Charlene Callison.   We have worked out the following schedule for those who have the time and can assist in making this event a great recognition of Sally's personality, influence, and contribution to our community. 

PLEASE DO NOT "REPLY ALL" TO THIS MESSAGE, but email me, par...@macomb.com with specific times/duties and/or specific food contributions if you would like to help in any of the three areas.  I will follow up with more details as well as confirm/remind each of the times and duties.   

ASSISTING AT FOOD/DRINK TABLES:  resupply food, etc.  We need 4 people each hour. Charlene will be available at all times to coordinate and assist.
Saturday, June 6:  3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  receiving and distributing food contribution.
Saturday, June 6:  4:00 p.m. to 5:00  p.m.  Serving and replenishing food at 4 food tables.    
Saturday, June 6:  5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Serving and replenishing food at 4 food tables.
Saturday, June 6:  6:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Serving and replenishing food at 4 tables.

PREPARATION and CLOSING:  assisting in arranging, decorating the room, etc.  
If you can spare and hour or two during any of these times, it would be a big help in moving things to The Penny and arranging/decorating in the building.  
Friday, June 5: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 6:  any time you can spare between 10 a.m. to 12, 1:00 to 3:00
Saturday, June 6:  7:00 p.m.  MANY are needed to assist in clearing the area.

Evening Becky,

Got home from KY and granddaughter graduation safely last night but sneezy, drippy today  will test if continues tomorrow.  really wanted to come to help out and honor Sally. If you don’t see me during/ after event you know why as i wouldn’t want to be  what we used to call “super spreader” 🤯   could just be allergy  lots pollen frolicking ;)
