Hello Everyone,

This is just a reminder that the deadline for nominations for the 2026 Writing Women into History Awards is THIS Saturday, November 29. If you've been meaning to submit a nomination, or would like to add supporting letters to any other nomination, please do! The form can be found at macombfeminists.org and letters can be uploaded there or sent to macombfemi...@gmail.com. The committee will meet next week to choose which outstanding women will be recognized this year, and we encourage you to make our job harder by giving us more options.

Okay,

For Pat Hutinger.

I am still waiting on information. It is my fault it taking so long.

My communication with Sue has yielded the following:

She wants to know about how many may speak about Pat. Pat has a son who will accept the award. I have requested his name.

She would like the contribution to go to the Macomb Art Center and asks whether someone from there needs to be present in order to accept the honorarium?

Was there any other information I needed to gather regarding Pat's status?

My question - When will the picture taking be gathered so that I may offer that information to Sue?

Charlene

Charlene,

Regarding Patti Hutinger, her son’s name is Chuck Hutinger. One of last year’s recipients, Bonnie Smith Skripps, worked with Patti on grant writing and direction in Macomb Projects.

Sue Marshall is currently checking to see if he is willing to travel to Macomb to accept the award. I will keep the group posted. Hopefully she has the information soon.
