Maine AquaVentus - the UMaine/industry consortium planning to put two floating windmills off Monhegan, is sussing out  the Searsport Harbor floor  adjacent to the Sears Island jetty -  as well as off Mack Point.   Is there going to be a "temporary" port there on the island , where Cianbro'd assemble them  before barging them out  to Monhegan  to be set afloat. Why else would Maine Aquaventus be doing the sonar work there but, if  the island is chosen,  to do a little dredging if needed.?

"Alpine Ocean Seismic Survey, Inc., (Alpine) will conduct a geophysical survey for Maine Aqua Ventus (MAV) on November 15 – November 19, weather permitting, west and south of Mack Point in Searsport, Maine...."    Continued below the picture

"The survey will be used to identify a temporary assembly location for two floating wind turbines. The temporary area will be used during the summer/fall 2019 and in the spring of 2020."
