Bayfriends - An important update on the mercury situation vis a vis Penobscot River.  by Dianne Kopec, Research Biologist for the Penobscot River Mercury Study.   Belfast Library
1. Are you attending?
2. Could you record audio and/or video or take a photo or three?
3. Can you ask about Stockton Harbor, first embayment past the river's mouth?
Ask if there's  any reason Stockton Harbor shouldn't be tested?

I can't be there as there's an important public hearing in Saint George tonight 7pm I'm speaking at.
The SG Board of Appeal  will meet a proposed giant ramp and float on Watts Cove on the lower Saint George River.. Already rejected twice, the developed just keeps coming back.

Anybody make it to the mercury talk at the Belfast Free library last night?

Re St George the plan to put a float and pier into Saint George's pristine Watts Cove  came before the St Geo Board of Appeal, which  sent it back to their planning board - which has already rejected it twice. Details later.
