Dear old horses, yes I know, this have been aired in previouser posts, but what with the sky-rocketing sucess and out of this world results of Topaz Photo A.I., and now Topaz Video A.I., the stage is set for Hi-Res Audio Upscaling, so please pull some strings, make some calls, slip it across, mean to say, the jolly old American way of introducing bright schemes, and put Audio Hi-Res Upscale at the agenda next board-meeting, so you can at least give me an updated brush-off.
Although of course, I now see that having actually gathered around the table at the next Topaz board-meeting, a chappie would seem tolerably rum if he took the floor, then had to excuse himself while he walked over to the Grandfather Clock in the corner, pulling the strings
Photo AI 3.0.1, Mac OS14.4.1 Running Photo AI as a Photoshop plugin or as a stand alone is not closing and quitting after running it on a file. It gets hung up and can only be force quit. Running AI on say ten files one at a time I get ten open AI apps that need to be force quit. The problem was not there until I updated to 3.0.1.
Hello there, I bought a new MacBook Pro M3 Pro and installed Shaper AI, the process went ok but when I opened the app I saw this message (Could not save Application Data). When I close the pop up windows and try to log in with my license the app just blink and than I see the same message again and it will log me out. What can be the issue and how can I fix this. Thank you very much in advance.
Since there is no chance to get directly in contact with topaz-devs - no e-mail, no contact form, no chance to open a ticket - and no fixes for long time known bugs i decided to delete my Topaz software completly. (Shapren AI constant constant flickering on Mac M1 and topaz adjust constantly crashing )
Im a professional photographer and i need my time for my job not to get frustrated. And no - i will not buy one of the actual apps. Sorry

Have been using Topaz products 3+ years in Windows environment. This week the plug-in from Lightroom to any Topaz product stopped working (Lightroom freezes totally and has to be forced to close down). Topaz products work when opened independently.
You can install Vapoursynth following this tutorial. Vapousynth is essentially a program that will crop and compress your video files without losing any quality. It also has built-in sharpen and denoise functions that can take over the functions of Topaz.
After converting to timeline, I select all the frames in the layers window (can also be turned on in the windows dropdown menu and selecting layers). Then, right click and and press convert to smart object. This will turn all your layers into a single object so you can edit all the layers at once rather than having to edit each layer separately.
After your smart object is created, I like to sharpen. I have an action, but to recreate the same effect, you will need to (1) duplicate the smart object (right click on the smart object > duplicate layer) (2) smart sharpen both smart objects with the following settings and then (3) put a gaussian blur only on the top layer with 1.0px. Both smart sharpen and gaussian blur can be found under the filter dropdown menu (filter > sharpen > smart sharpen or filter > blur > gaussian blur).
Since upgrading to Venture, I'm having the same issue with the Photos application and Photoshop. Once a RAW image (doesn't matter if it came from a DSLR or iPhone) has had edits made to it in Photos, the preview generated seems to be a corrupted one: the preview in Photos looks pixelated and attempting to open the image in Photoshop results in the attached error message (An error occurred while preparing external edit. PHPhotosErrorDomain error 3306).
Ventura seems to have completely broken Photos for those of us who have been using it for any kind of RAW image management. I've tried repairing the library, making a new library, and the issue just returns.
Once initial image adjustments have been made to a RAW file, Photos in Ventura seems to corrupt the generated jpg preview, which results in a low-resolution appearance in Photos and the 3306 error when attempting to open the image in an external editor.
ok I don't see it there on the list it might be the problem I have dpp4 listed but not topaz sharpen and have not had problems with canons dpp4. I am not very savvy about adding it ? can you give me instructions ? please this 3306 code is is driving me nuts some times it work s well with topaz and other time s it acts up and give me the code? thanks mike
ok after restarting and dpp4 was off and topaz on I manually turned on dpp4 and have been editing a few photos to see if all worked and it does so far , going to restart again and see if both stay on or if I have to manually turn one or the other back on? yes I can turn on dpp4 in full disk access pane!
ok I restarted again and both dpp4 and topaz sharpen ai blue slider stayed on ! so I guess I have success with your help! thank you very much! is there anything else I need to do? I wanted to download the topaz bundle but had to get this situation solved first before investing more money in topaz every time I update Ventura something else needs tweaking !
I think I have figured out what 3306 error is? I think it is a processing error to let you know apple photos hasn't processed the photos you uploaded. my first Mac I had you could upload photos to apple photos app and see them come into focus and then you could edit them or what ever you wanted to do with them, I have discovered after uploading photos if I wait 30 minutes maybe then all the photos could be edited and shared or transferred to different apps like topaz sharpen and dipp4 by canon camera if you don't wait for a time to let the computer depending on how fast it is process the photos they will be out of focus or you wont be able to transfer them to other apps to edit. so wait for apple photos to process all the photos and then you can edit and transfer to other apps.
