Hello,
I am designing a ground effect airplane.
Is there a way to impose a boundary condition to take into account the presence of the ground?
Or should that be taken into account in the airfoil parameters?
Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Thierry

Hi Thierry
Ground effect can automatically be modelled in MachUp Pro (the FORTRAN version). MachUp Pro does this by creating a second geometry that is the reflection of the original geometry across the ground plane. This effectively imposes a no-flux boundary condition at the ground plane. You can try mimicing this behavior manually. We hope to add ground effect to MachUpX in the future.
