Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone has had success uploading a geometry .json file from the MU4 interface to the build files in MUX. I am having trouble following the "traditional_airplane" example build file to meet my needs. I have uploaded the geometry I wish to have from MU4, and what MUX interprets it as.

Thanks!

Could you attach your respective input files? It looks like one of your problems lies in the "connect_to" key for each wing segment. That's one thing that got changed between MU4 and MUX. The documentation (https://machupx.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) explains exactly the syntax for the input files to MUX.

Cory,

Thanks for the quick response. That could definitely be my issue. I tried to match the syntax of the "traditional_example" file but I don't believe there was connecting wing segments, so that would definitely explain my oversight. I've uploaded the .json build file.

Thanks!
Ben

You need to change the key from "connect" to "connect_to". The main wing in traditional_airplane.json does not have this key because it lies at the origin, but the horizontal and vertical stabilizers do.
