to Machinekit
It looks like the vfdb_vfd HAL module was removed when machinekit-hal separated from the main machinekit repository (this commit). Was there any reason for this or did it just get lost in the separation process? I'm looking into using a Delta VFD and am wondering if I should try to get that module working or is there another recommended process?

I think that it was probably left out by omission and not intentionally. The same way MB2HAL was. (Since already integrated back to Machinekit-HAL.) I don't see any reason why it should not be integrated back into the source-tree. You may want to try the more universal Modbus modules like the MB2HAL or the new https://github.com/aekhv/vfdmod
