I'm at my other home in FL currently and crashed the head on the printer, destroying part of the head and splitting my ceramic bed.  Nema23 and 9mm belts may have been a bad choice.

Tried updating to use the new pythonic configs and it turns out in the current fdm module (without using the subdirectory to override it like in the Rostock config I borrowed from machinekoder) the delta_r or rod length is ignored.  So 0,0,0 was below the bed.  I slowly approached it, but the interface didn't register my stop command until it was too late... so I got to watch it slowly destroy my bed.  :)
My fault for removing the physical estop button for aesthetic reasons..

Prime is screwy due to Irma so parts wouldn't get here in time for me to fabricate them, and I can't find a suitable polished ceramic tile locally.
So... I'm not going.

Oh boy.. see you around the next event.  (Did you take any damage from Irma?)
I'm trying to get switched over to Charles probotix solution on my MPCNC.  I'm currently running gantrykins and I keep forgetting to switch between world and joint when I'm homing.  I wind up inadvertently racking the gantries. I cracked some of 3d printed bearing blocks. Luckily weld repairing them is fairly easy.
Switches are wired and installed I need to install terminals, and hook into the cramps and redo the Hal and ini's.  Yikes, I'm running out of time here.

Mine was working well, but without retraction.
Retraction had way too much pre-charge and it wasn't linear with what I set retraction to.
Rather than figure that out as I had some other minor annoyances, I opted to go for the latest and greatest and put my extra stuff into that.
In prior iterations I had a microswitch on the head tied to estop.  Not this one.  Crash, bang, done.

Damage from Irma: About 2 cubic yards of tree branches around the yard and everything was dirty.  The wind pushed water through the windows which were not covered/sealed in minor amounts.  That was about it.  We did get lucky that it broke inland and the winds that got us were coming from across land.
Cleanup from the preparations was/is more labor intensive than the hurricane itself.  The ice blocks for the fridge are still melting in the sink 4 days later.  We never lost power.

I was checking out the web site of a Puerto Rican makerspace a couple of days ago at our makerspace.. The blog was ominously silent since the hurricane.
