Whats the current status on MSpec? Is it still under development or is
it dead? I really like the readability of the specs.

It's quite alive, there just hasn't been much need for work on it.
Though if you look at the repository, you can see that a few of us
have made changes recently:

Is there anything in particular you're looking for?
