Hi All,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I've recently finished producing a new course for Pluralsight titled "More Expressive Testing in .Net with MSpec". It has not been published live on the site yet, but it will be soon. I'll post an update with a link to the course once it's available.
I originally proposed the course and started working on it late last year, then took a break from it for a couple months as I was busy, but this summer I got back to it and finished it up last week. Unfortunately, during that time, I missed the announcement from Daniel and Alexander that they would no longer be maintaining MSpec. :-(
First, I want to say a big 'Thank You' to Aaron, Daniel, and Alexander for both creating and maintaining MSpec over the years! I've really enjoyed using the framework in the past and hopefully will be able to continue using it in the future. Of course, the news that they've stepped away is bad for the framework in general, as well as my course obviously (part of the risk you take when making course-ware for open source software with no guaranteed lifetime).
But my hope now is that the course might inspire some new interest in the framework, and from that maybe some new maintainers will emerge. I do spend a good deal of time in the course talking not only about the specifics of the MSpec syntax but also the approach to testing in general, and the different mindset that MSpec encourages. Hopefully that will still prove useful to people who watch, and maybe inspire someone to take up the mantle and move it forward.
Thanks,
Kevin Kuebler
