Exam inspection - 13.03., room 023

Dear students,

We will offer the exam inspection this Wednesday (13.03) between 11am and 1pm in room 023 in building E1.4 on the ground floor. To avoid congestion we have assigned every student to a 15min slot based on the last digit of your immatriculation number. Find the setup in the table below. Please arrive on time, better 5min before. If there are questions, please post here in the group.

Hi,

I have been assigned to the 12:15 slot and a friend, with whom I will be driving from Kaiserslautern only for the exam inspection, has been assigned to the 11:00 slot. I was therefore just wondering if I could maybe come to the 11:00 slot, too?

Please arrange with somebody from slot 1 to be moved to your slot 6 as replacement. Slot 1 is already quite full, so we cannot simply move more students there. Sorry!

For those that cannot make it today (13.03) to the exam inspection, we will offer you to come to the inspection of the re-exam which will be somewhen in mid-April.

Hi Max,

In my opinion, this solution is not a fair one since inspecting the exam before the re-exam gives you an advantage for the latter one. You can see which mistakes you made and how specific tasks were scored, so you can prepare better for the re-exam.

If you had announced this date at the beginning of the semester and had said that it is the only possibility for inspection before the re-exam (as it is done in other courses), that would have been fair, because then one could have planned the semester break accordingly, but announcing the date only two days in advance is too last-minute. You must also take into consideration that there are many students not coming from Saarland who want to see their families during the semester break and they can't book train rides or even flights only two days in advance.

Hi Sophie,

You have a point. We have discussed the issue and can setup an earlier exam inspection on the 25th of March at 11am. I know this is very close to the reexam, but please understand that we are very busy until the 22nd as the date marks an important deadline for those involved.

Please mark your interest in attending in this poll so that we can plan ahead accordingly. (Note that the 'No' option is irrelevant to us and needed to be there for technical reasons).

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure how it works but I guess the first exam's grades must be uploaded before we can register for the second exam. Currently, it doesn't show the option to register for the second exam on my LSF.

Isn't the last date to register for the second exam 1 week before the exam, 21.03?
