Here is the R code from Saturday.

I have the code working with a couple of exceptions:

1.  Linear regression will not work if you add the months matrix.  If you want to use lm, don't put ss$month on the dataframe and add the month matrix, you'll also need to change subset that removes the sales key and month from the dataframe before running regression.

2. ridge regression will work on the complete mod_data (with the months), however, the my ridge function and the class ridge code, with cross validation would not work with more than one iteration, i.e. no cross validation.

I did not take the time to figure out why these things are not working.  I thought everyone would prefer some subset of the code.

I have placed the title_key1.csv file at the following url: https://public.me.com/oconste  it was too large to send, hopefully everyone can pick it up from there.

I have also attached my merge.pl which I used to create the file that title_key1,csv was sourced from.  I think Sandra has distributed files like this, however, I have not had a chance to compare.
