Believe it or not, these oak barrels cost in excess of $20,000 each, take 2 years from start to use and last in excess of 200 years. They are made from French Oak and there are only three companies in the world who make them, two in France and one in Portugal . A master cask maker can earn in excess of $250,000 per annum and there are only 12 people in the world holding this rank, one being a woman. If you now take time to examine the barrels I think you'll agree they are a beautiful work of art.
