November 30th, 2016 Election to the Board of Directors pursuant to Article VI of the Bye Laws
NOTIFICATION
Dear Members,
The current Trustee Board of the Malayalee Association of Central Florida (MACF) hereby invites
Nomination’s for the Association’s Board of Directors for the year 2017. All nominations in the prescribed Form (enclosed) must meet the specifications laid down in the By-Laws of the Association (see below) and must be received by any of the members of the election committee no later than midnight on December 12th , 2016 or be delivered at the following address: T Unnikrishnan 1315 Loretto Cir., Odessa, FL 33556 or email the completed form to unn...@gmail.com on or before the above mentioned deadline.
Specifications of the Directors as stated in By-Laws, Article VI:
2. Qualification of the Directors. The qualifications for becoming and remaining a Director of this
Association are as follows:
1. Directors must be residents of State of Florida
2. Directors must be members of the Association other than Associate Members.
3. A director shall not be serving in an official capacity in any other similar associations
organized for the same purpose.
3. Number. The number of the Directors of the Association shall not be less than Seven (7) at any time.
Until further amendments of these Bylaws, the number of Directors presently will be Fifteen (15)
including the President. The number may be increased or decreased from time to time by amendments to
these Bylaws, but no decrease shall have the effect of shortening the term of any incumbent Director. The
Board of Directors shall be elected by the Members, to represent the following geographical areas
(herein after called the ‘Area of Operations’):
1. Tampa Area Two (2) Members
2. Brandon, Plant City Three (3) Members
3. Lakeland, Bartow, Winter Haven One (1) Member
4. St. Petersburg/Clearwater area One (1) Member
5. Dade City/Brooksville Hudson, New Portrichy area One (1) Member
6. Bradenton/Sarasota & South One (1) Member
7. Students/Youth Representatives Two (2) Members(from Anywhere)
8. Women’s’ Representative Two (2) Members(from Anywhere)
9. President Elect/Vice President One (1) (from Anywhere)
4. Term. The term of the Directors, except for the President Elect, shall be (1) year.
President Elect/Vice President shall serve as the president ofthe Association for the following year and shall stay in the Board as the ex-Officio member in the third year.
The nomination must be submitted in the prescribed form, recommended and signed by a minimum of
one other member of the association, along with a short personal profile of the nominee. Each nominee
should be at least 18 years of age. One Form shall contain name of only one nominee. Use separate
Forms for each nominee. If we don’t get eligible nominations to any positions we accept other nominations and submit for the approval of general body
