Hi everyone,

Due to frequent violation of the terms stated for usage of this list, i have switched the settings to moderated. This means that nobody except group administrators can post directly to the group for now. The settings will remain this way for at least a week.

I will try to explain this once more. This list is exclusively for chapter to chapter communication, about active chapters projects or chapter concerns, requests for advice, sharing chapter related tips and anything along the same stretch. Also for official meeting announcements or questions about meetings and Instructions from chapter administration.

Not to point fingers as i know everyone intends well, but here are a few example topics that violate the rules and why.

- tzm.com is offline

( not relevant for the list unless the website is down for a few days. You were able to communicate through the list right? Well thats what its for. We as chapters arent dependant on the main site directly.)

- Zeitgeist: The Movie 2010 revisions DVD torrent

( Is there any chapter out there distributing that? I hope not as we asked them to not distribute this as material in support of the movement. It definitly has no place on the Chapters mailing list.)

- Marko Rodin and the Rodin Coil

( Interesting but far from even appropriate for the list. Has nothing to do with the chapters.)

- Star trek clip

( Unless were designing a chapter spaceship, topics like these belong in the black hole called the forum)

Furthermore,

There are now more than 400 people on this list. Most of you  know the rules or at least have had a luxurious amount of time to take notice. It is a collective responsibility to keep all our working environments clean and overseeable. We are not a chatbox, we are a serious organised movement in the heat of growth and baby organisation. So please whenever the list gets released, take the same responsibility and correct others and guide new users when they do not use the list properly.

On a final note,

The last time i moderated the list, i got a few angry users tripping over me. The reason of  moderating it last time was the same as now. Remember that i also get a lot of complaints about the usage of this list from other users.

I am as much as possible compassionate and attempting to understand anybody's opinion or feelings while performing a coordinator task, as should be. However it is not allways possbile such as now. So for those people that have an objection. Please read the following. ( to avoid situations like the last time the list got closed )

So for old angry users and new angry users :P

If you have any of the following questions look no further for your answer:

Why are you preventing open posting temporarily?

Because the rules get violated and it needs to stop.

What gives you the right to do that?

I created the list.

I dont find that enough reason.

I dont care.

I have a problem with the decision in general. 

Go make your own list or just resign from this one.

So....

Thank you all for understanding ;). Everybody is busy after the release, but not as busy as the Chapter Administration. Sorry if this comes across cold or harsh, i just need to be very direct about it now. Will turn sensitive mode on after march, promise.
