Thisblog series is all about the wonderful, colourful and interesting things you can SEE on a visit to Oman. To a Scot, it is a huge country, covering 309,500 km2, compared to my rather tiny homeland of 78,770 km2. Visitors can encounter a huge variety of terrain; from the huge red dune massifs of the Rub Al Khali over vast, stark gravel plains until you reach the shoreline which is dotted with beautiful beaches, many of them deserted. Oman has its fair share of mountains too, and an ambitious road building program means you can travel with ease through many of the ranges. This picture was taken heading northwards on the Hasik-Shuwaymia section of the Salalah-Muscat Coastal Road.

The Sultanate of Oman is a truly wonderful country, full of beautiful places to visit and interesting things to see. Some tourists are content to spend their holidays within the confines of their luxurious Arabian styled 4 star hotels, and there is nothing wrong with that. However if you get yourself out there you might find something unusual, quirky or bizarre to photograph and as a bonus, any Omanis you encounter will bowl you over with their kindness and hospitality.

New Zealand-based private equity firm, Pencarrow Private Equity, has settled the first investment from its new fund, partnering with key management to acquire 100% of the shares in Shoof International Limited, a leading distributor of a wide range of on-farm and veterinary products in New Zealand, Australia and Chile.

The team advised on all aspects of the transaction, including due diligence of the corporate structures, intellectual property, employees, property interests and regulatory matters, along with the drafting and negotiation of the share sale and purchase agreement and related transaction documents.
