Dear Macbeth,

I beg you to listen to your morals, to honor yourself, and not harm your King Duncan. He is a kind a honest man that has done nothing to deserve your betrayal. He is your friend, he trusts you and wishes you nothing but the best life has to offer. If you go down this dark path, and murder your friend, you should be informed that it is a choice, a decision that you can never ever take back. Should you go through with your plan, I can guarantee that it will haunt you forever. Not to mention the consequences that will follow. If you become King this way, through murder, evil, what possible reason or reasons would your subjects have to trust you? To be loyal to you? To someone who was not loyal to his King, his personal friend. Be better than that, be honorable, be a role model for your subjects, be patient, and I’m sure your time to rule will come. But if you decide to take the crown, to be greedy, to be cowardly, and murder your King, I guarantee you will surely regret it. Please, I beg of you do not put your life, your family’s life in jeopardy. It is said that good things come to those who wait. I plead with you, wait, wait for your good things to come.

Sincerely,

Concerned Citizen
