William Shakespeare was born April 23, 1564, he was named after his father who was a wealthy local business man. Mary, his mother was the daughter of a wealthy land owner. As a result Shakespeare grew up relatively privileged. At the very young age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, a lady slightly older than himself. Soon after he wed, they had 3 children. Years later his only son Hamlet tragically died at the young age of 11. The death of his son inspired a lot of his sonnets that reflected the feeling of lost love. Shakespeare wrote lots of different writings, although he is most recognized for his plays and the twisted plots that they contain. He lived a 100 years, as he died in 1664, although his cause of death is still unclear to this day. However, many suspected it was due to his heavy drinking habits. William Shakespeare in my opinion was a disturbed man, evidenced by the twisted plots of his writings. I believe he probably suffered from depression, and had a lot of hidden anger resulting from the death of his son.
