We invite applications for Building the Future of Macaulay2, a week-long workshop hosted at Georgia Tech from Sunday–Thursday, May 17–21, 2026.
This workshop will bring together students, researchers, and developers for hands-on collaboration on Macaulay2 projects, with an emphasis on internal development, infrastructure, and long-term sustainability of the system. Participants will work closely with experienced developers, contribute code, explore mathematical applications, and help shape the future direction of Macaulay2.
We especially encourage applications from:
Graduate students and early-career researchers
Developers interested in mathematical software and open-source systems
Macaulay2 users who would like to begin contributing to the project
