Hi everyone,

I want to compute the h-vector of the ring (the ideal is shown in the attached screenshot). However, when I use the command "reduceHilbert hilbertSeries I".

I don’t get the expected result. Does this command work only for standard graded rings, or is there a way to make it work in the non-standard graded case as well?

Any help or clarification would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Shrikant

Hi Shrikant,

Your Hilbert series seems correct to me. You have two generators of order 3, one generator of order 4, two generators of order 6 but also a1^2,a2^2 I think both of degree 6, etc. What do you think you should get?
