My computer updated itself to MacOS Tahoe 26.2, and now brew is broken. I used the uninstall script on the brew github repo to remove it, and then reinstalled it, but it still won't work. I append the error message. How can I get this fixed? More immediately important for me: how can I get M2 working on this machine (my old installation is too old to work with the new files).

thanks

David

David,

It looks like you are trying to use an intel version of homebrew, not the one from recent apple macs (M1, M2, etc). (Homebrew uses /opt/homebrew for native builds, /usr/local for intel builds).
