ขอบคุณค่ะดิว

แต่อ่านประโยคที่ 3 ในจุลสารย่อหน้าแรกที่ใช้ in which แล้วสงสัยว่า ประโยคนั้นจะเขียนใหม่ได้เป็น

which English is used in as the medium of instruction and communication, ถูกหรือเปล่า

แล้วถ้าไม่ใช้ in จะได้ไหม รบกวนถามเพื่อนๆ หน่อยจ่ะ

เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้เพิ่งคุยเรื่องนี้กับอาจารย์ฝรั่งคนหนึ่ง เขาบอกเขาไม่รู้เรื่องการใช้ in which เลย เขาใช้ตามความเคยชิน

in which แทน where อ่ะเปล่า เขียนเป็น formal มากๆอ่ะ

อ๋อ in which ใช้แทน where ได้ ลืมไป ขอบคุณมากค่ะเปิ้ล

เอ่อ...ส่วนตัวแล้วดิวคิดว่าถ้าใช้ where แทนที่ in which ในประโยคนี้จะไม่ถูกต้องนักนะ เพราะ which เอามาขยาย "...an international program" ที่อยู่ข้างหน้า ถ้าจะไม่ให้อ่านแล้ว formal มากที่นึกออกตอนนี้คือย้ายเอา in ไปไว้ข้างหลังเป็น "...which English is used in as medium..." แต่ก็จะกลายเป็นไม่สละสลวยน่ะ แบบที่เห็นใช้ในวารสารน่ะถูกต้องและสละสลวยแล้วจ้ะ

ที่ยุ้ยถามว่าแล้วจะไม่ใช้ in หน้า which ไ้ด้มั้ย คิดว่าไม่น่าได้เพราะความหมายจะเพี้ยน คือข้อความนี้ต้องการบอกว่า "เนื่องจากโครงการนี้เป็นโครงการนานาชาิติ ซึ่งในโครงการนี้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นสื่อในการเรียนการสอนและการสื่อสาร ทางโครงการจึงยินดีต้อนรับนักศึกษาจากทั่วโลก" --> ตรงตัวพิมพ์หนาคือจุดที่คำว่า in which จ้ะ
