July 09 meeting

Our topic is for July is Scanning 102. That came up quickly. We need
some collaboration on this.

Can someone bring around 10 35 mm slides that we can scan at the
meeting? We can go through the process of importing, resizing, and
touching up. Don has an inexpensive Epson scanner that can to scan the
slides. Of course this would take forever if you had thousands to do.

Think about the output for the scans- print photos, put on a web site,
email to friends, make a slideshow. or add to a video in a program
such as imovie. We can do this LIVE.
We need also need to take a closer look at a few buying choices for
scanners. Maybe someone can research this with a few reviews about the
pros and cons of each model.

Another choice is sending them out to be scanned. As discussed at the
last meeting, they could be lost. What about somewhere local such as
Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart? Is the work done there or sent out?

What are your thought on this?
