Filemaker file to Bento on an ipod touch

Barb T was thinking of using the Bento app on an ipod touch. As you
know she uses Filemaker. Filemaker files don't open on an ipod (I'm
pretty sure). I think she wants to have information such as medical
records at her fingertips. So would this work? ....
Open the document in Filemaker > Save as a PDF. email it to yourself.
Then open it on the ipod touch. A person would have to use Mail or
Google Mail. Gmail would need an internet connection as it is web
based. Would it open without a wifi connection?
Any thoughts?

I forgot to add that Bento doesn't open Filemaker files.
