Subject: [maxprograms] Localizing Maxprograms software

Hi,

Years ago, most of Maxprograms' tools were available in several languages. English, Spanish, German and Polish were the most used languages, but there were others like Japanese or Russian. For reasons that don't matter now, I had to abandon localization and start delivering software in English only.

Today I released a new version of JavaPM. Originally, JavaPM was a tool with a GUI that allowed extracting translatable strings from Java code and producing XLIFF. The updated version does the same, but is based on scripts instead of a GUI. You can read more about JavaPM at https://maxprograms.com/products/javapm.html. Source code is public and available at GiHub.com

OpenXLIFF Filters, the heart of all my tools, is now bilingual. All English strings have been translated to Spanish using JavaPM. The next tool to be localized will be XLIFF Manager.

My goal is to release all tools in both English and Spanish. It will be a huge effort that will hopefully pave the way for other languages.

Regards,
Rodolfo
