I'm afraid I already did. Repair permissions, Onyx. To no avail.

Which is a .service here (Lion). All services (minus Paste Text into Word) are - unsurprisingly - .services, apart from the two I tried to create a couple of days ago. They were saved as .workflow, and they don't run (even though they are in the context menu). And it's not like I never created a service. This is a "new" problem.

It's a mystery to me. Couldn't find anything on the subject on the various forums, and I spend hours trying to find them. I mentioned services on ProZ, and then one Mac user asked me for help, because he couldn't create the service I was referring to. So I started writing the explanation, making screenshots in the process, and ended up not being able to run it myself. So I created another one by copying a service I created in the past, saved it under another name, and it also saved as a .workflow, and I couldn't run it either. Strange. I then used Time Machine to replace the Automator by one of August last year (same version), again to no avail.
