All, the MABRA Board has been asked to forward the following on behalf of MABRA’s Upgrade Coordinator, Lew Strader:

All,

It's been a quite year in lake Woebegone ...MABRA land...

While many people have requested upgrades and most have been approved, there are some who perhaps are well overdue for moving up.

You know who you are, and so do your fellow racers. In fact, maybe they've been telling you that you really need to upgrade or have even let me know I need to evaluate you....

So, a few notes about upgrades:

1.     At the present time, USA Cycling (USAC) does not provide an automatic way to upgrade - when you think you should be upgraded, you need to submit your request thru your USAC online account.

2.     I will be reviewing possible candidates for mandatory upgrade in the next week - starting with road, and then moving on to CX.

3.     If I verify you are at or above the mandatory points, I will notify you via the email you have on file with USAC. You will have 4 days to request an upgrade, or let me know at mabrau...@gmail.com why you should not be upgraded.

4.     If I do upgrade you, then you need to deal with any race that you have already registered for at your previous category (in most cases you can be moved to an appropriate higher category race by the promoter).

For more information on the upgrade rules, including the process for submitting upgrade requests and what information you need to include, please visit the following page on the MABRA website: http://mabra.org/upgrading.html

Is mandatory upgrade work being continued/completed now that MABRA's Cross season is over?

Can we have inflatable dummy riders entered in a race to make up the quota numbers, and then we can finish ahead of them to get enough points...???
