RIP Chris Barritt   / Chesapeake Wheelmen Master Super Star

 

For those not in the loop Chris Barritt passed away the other day.

A picture of fitness and a great guy.

Speculation he had a lower back myeloma.

 

For a guy with no cycling experience he really was a self taught cracker jack 70 +  TT rider.

 

Like all of us Chris really enjoyed the Church Creek TT's and produced a series of very fast times. I always thought he was going to be the next guy to beat 30 in for 20 K. He had a 32 min ride to his credit.

 

 

So glad he got his name on the Lauf-Fuller perpetual trophy.

We will pass on funeral arrangements as soon as they are available.

Subject: [ChesaWheelmen] Sad News

Late yesterday I received a text from Chris Barritt's daughter, Christina.  She let me know that Chris had passed. I had sent him a text the day before, so she knew to contact me. She said that she would let me know when arrangements have been made.  I don't know anything else at this time.  As soon as I hear anything, I'll pass it on.
